Michael S. Nirenberg, DPM – married to Miriam in 1992 and father of two wonderful boys. Originally from Toronto, Canada, he’s been awarded the Distinguished Podiatric Writing Award for his paper “Forensic Methods and the Podiatric Physician,” which was published in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He completed a residency in Podiatric Surgery and is board certified in Podiatric Medicine from the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry and has been published in the Journal of Foot Surgery. Dr. Nirenberg is certified in the Integra Matrix Wound Dressing and Dermal Regeneration Template (for treating open sores and wounds). He is a member of American Podiatric Medical Association, the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association, and the International Association for Identification, and he is both a member and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Forensic Podiatry. Dr. Nirenberg is passionate about solving foot and ankle problems, and spends much of his free time reading, studying and attending seminars on how to be a better podiatric physician and surgeon. A frequent lecturer, he has spoken on behalf of St. Mary Medical Center, the Arthritis Foundation, and various other community groups on such topics as nerve problems and neuropathy of the foot and ankle, arthritis of the foot and ankle, and new breakthroughs in foot and ankle care. He enjoys teaching and as a Podiatric Surgical Residency Instructor (since 1993!) has taught foot and ankle surgery to new podiatrists. Dr. Nirenberg founded Friendly Foot Care in 1992 in a small two room office and is now proud to offer patients a custom-designed 4000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. In his free time he writes staff bios. |

Michael G. Lacey, DPM – shown here with the love of his life, Wendy. Born and raised in Boston, he completed an intense three-year podiatric surgery residency in what Bostonians consider their most hated city: New York. There, he trained in advanced techniques of diagnosing and treating foot and ankle problems and learning how to tolerate the words, "Go Yankees." Dr. Lacey joined Friendly Foot Care in 2008 and we love having him! Strongly dedicated to helping patients, he knew he had to be a podiatrist the day his father, a diabetic, got a serious infection in his big toe and a podiatrist did surgery that saved him from having the leg amputated. Dr. Lacey loves solving foot and ankle problems, and he is passionate about staying on the leading edge of research and development of new procedures. He has had extensive training in diabetic foot care, arthritis, foot and ankle surgery, treating bunions, hammertoes, and sprains, strains and fractures of the foot and ankle. He is a proud member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. |

Krystal– medical assistant and orders our medical supplies. Krystal makes sure we never run out of bandaids - or candy! She always has a smile on her face, and when not helping the doctors takes care of her young daughter and spends time with her friends. She is a big help and we often wish we had another employee like her. Interestingly, she does have a twin sister, but she's happily employed elsewhere. So until they can clone people, we'll just have to make do with one Krystal. |

Diana– the “point person” for the administrative department, Diana relentlessly pursues elusive insurance companies. When not in office calling, faxing or e-mailing insurance companies, she enjoys the tranquility of hiking, camping or relaxing by the lake, or the hustle of spending time with her two children and six grandchildren. (Diana is pictured in red with her family) |

Nicole– our front desk administrative assistant. Nicole started off filing and has grown to many of the front desk tasks, and we are glad she did! She has become a huge help and always has a pleasant, smiling face. She plans to return to school someday to be an X-ray technician. Until then we love having her here. (Nicole on the left with her two sisters) |

Yolanda – administrative assistant and insurance liaison, Yolanda exudes positive energy and always has a big smile on her face. She enjoys helping patients solve their insurance problems and makes sure the staff and bills get paid. With an aptitude for being creative, we count on her to dress-up the office’s signs and forms. When not in the office, she spends time with her best friend and her godson, and loves watching sports, especially basketball - and she still can’t believe the doctors turned down courtside seats for the Chicago Bulls. |

Tracy – medical assistant, and always pleasant and helpful with the patients. She earned her medical assistant certificate from Olympia College, and has been with us ever since. When not assisting the doctors or helping the patients, Tracy loves spending time with her son and nephew, especially watching them play baseball and basketball – where, of course, she is their biggest fan! |
